Conceiving, designing and building architecture: Michels Architekturbüro has been planning and building public and private projects throughout Germany and other European countries since 2002. Artistic, functional and social criteria play a key role in the process, as do economic efficiency and sustainability. The firm’s scope of work encompasses in particular residential, office and commercial construction as well as urban design. Besides many years of experience in new construction, alterations and interior fit-out, the firm – which currently has a staff of 80 people in Cologne and Berlin – has special expertise in the areas of refurbishment, construction in existing contexts, and monument protection.
The range of services extends from conception and design to the planning and management of construction. With a team of experienced architects and qualified specialists as well as a professional network of external partners, Michels Architekturbüro is able to cover all the HOAI work stages as well as the entire range of planning and construction-related topics in building construction – from the very first sketch to the finished building, from the project brief to detailed design, and from interiors to the urban scale.
