In the centre of Frankfurt (Oder), between the Marienkirche and the Bolfrashaus, a building block with flats and commercial usage is planned according to the classic model. Oblique ridge lines, slight kinks in the axis of the building and structured plaster surfaces define the single building parts and gently integrate the new construction with its modern materials into the historical setting. The façade is divided into three zones: the ground level receives a concrete surface, the roof a covering with dark, metal shingles, and the residential floors in between are plastered, a reference to old town houses.

The ground floor houses four commercial units. Above them, a range of different floor plans and sizes are planned for the residential floors; and in the loft, large apartments are located over two floors. All the units are provided with balconies – some as loggias hidden in the punctuated façade of the street side, the great majority facing the courtyard at the rear, however.
